Needle focal
It is a high-quality variety of carbon materials. Its appearance is silver-gray porous solid particles with a metallic luster. Its structure has a distinct flowing texture. The pores are large but few and slightly elliptical. The particles have a relatively large length-to-width ratio, with a fibrous or needle-like texture direction. It feels smooth to the touch. It is the raw material for manufacturing high-end carbon products such as ultra-high power electrodes, special carbon materials, carbon fibers and their composite materials. Asphalt coke
It is a low-sulfur and low-ash carbonaceous material that is prone to graphitization. It is a product obtained by directly coking coal tar pitch in a coke oven, and it can also be produced by the delayed coking method. It has a dense structure and relatively high mechanical strength and wear resistance of particles. It is widely applied in industries such as lithium battery anode materials and special carbon materials. Shanghai Youai is one of the earliest manufacturers in China to operate asphalt coke projects. Petroleum coke
It is a solid carbonaceous material obtained after coking of petroleum residue oil and petroleum asphalt produced in petroleum processing. The main element is carbon, and the ash content is very low, generally below 0.5%. It is prepared by oil refineries through delayed coking (500℃), containing a large amount of volatile matter and having low mechanical strength. Petroleum coke has a black or dark gray honeycomb-like structure in appearance. The pores inside the coke blocks are mostly elliptical and it belongs to carbon that is prone to graphitization. High-performance petroleum coke, due to its high cost-performance ratio, is also widely used in industries such as lithium battery anode materials and graphitized electrodes.
